Could I just take a fine moment to quite literally scrunch my face up, with my hands fisted up at my cheeks, squealing "Awwww".
As a mother, it is my civic duty to absolutely gag over how adorable my children are. Please note, if you are not doing this often, you may be missing the most precious moments ever! So please take time to just oogle and laugh and squeal over what sweet blessings the Lord has given you!Thinking away on my usual inner rants about human trafficking, life styles, expectations, etc. You know, that "stuff" on your "man this gets me worked up" list...
Just a wondering mind, when my oldest daughter (boy that sounds hilarious knowing what age my "oldest" daughter is) looks up from the paper she has been working on coloring for three days now, jumps up and starts dancing and singing "la la la la" to the tune of Elmo's World. Smiling a toothy grin, she then puts an immediate hold on the dancing and rushes over to her sweet little sister to give her a kiss. They have a baby talk moment, and both head back over to the crayons and three day paper. Quickly, having to intervene on behalf of the crayons and paper, curious little Lena.
So, basically this blog is a reminisce of my sweet children (as they are in bed and I shall remember them... now, laugh) on their first trip to the pumpkin patch! But first (you had to know this was coming), I believe before we are parents, before we have a child of our own we truly do not understand how precious these moments are. Or that we could understand a love so ridiculously out of control. We would be getting robbed if we knew before our kids arrived everything that goes on in the life of a parent! So many precious moments to account for. If we were aloud to understand fully parenthood, or even marriage, before God blessed us with these treasures... we would be all knowing- the only all knowing is God. And since we are not Him, we get to be surprised! Embrace it! So treasure and protect these blessings with your life because the world we live in will send whatever weapon to try to exhaust you and destroy your precious position as a mother, a father, a husband, a wife... I can not stress enough to be protecting the gifts you have been given. If you haven't been given these gifts, keep praying! God knows exactly what you Need.
Onward.
Paige was checking out the pumpkin she picked at the country mercantile. Brushing off the dirt and telling me about it.
Lena, could not have ENOUGH pumpkins. She wanted them all. She is a big skin on skin baby, wants to feel texture and warmth on her face- I wish I had a photo of her trying to lift that little pumpkin up to touch her face, but she just couldn't get it there!
Me & my sweet girls! This was their first trip to the pumpkin patch! We were planning on just walking out into that field and grabbing a pumpkin, heading home and napping- Mostly because we thought the girls would be pooped! However, we ended up doing... everything and the girls loved it (and no one pooped their pants until the ride home which was a Score). It was so priceless watching them explore.
My sweet sweet husband and Lena. I am so blessed to have a husband who wants to have such sweet adventures with our kids as I do.
Paige and I snorting at the pigs.
One of my husbands favorites- Paige was making her way through the hay maze and came back to help me push the stroller. Precious little Goon.
My husband showing Paige how tall she is. It was so sweet, she knew just what to do, we have a wall at home by the kitchen where we measure our kids.
Can you believe the cheeks on this goon!? Goodness Gracious! She has by far won the award for "baby that rarely quits smiling".
In Love.
Say a prayer for those who find themselves unable to have babies tonight. I hope desperately for you to be able to experience this love.
Jeramiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
