"The story begins... literally 7 years ago... God has been preparing us for a long time in the world of waiting children, foster care, child sponsorship programs and orphanage support; we began our adoption last year to our two sweet Congolese beauties. We prayed we would have an opportunity to see them in the place they currently lived and after several months of being told no no no... suddenly God opened a sweet window of opportunity, to travel to rebel territory in Eastern Africa to meet our precious children.
BUT, God had even bigger plans in mind, not just meeting our kids. Our dear friend Gilbert in Rwanda with whom we traveled, shared his heart and vision for orphans and widows. God used him mightily to break our hearts for Mugunga and reach out passed rebel cross roads in Kibumba, to help carry the burden of the people there. God is so there in even such a war torn place!!! What amazing people!!!
We also had the pleasure of meeting up with our sponsor kids. Surprised them. It was sweet!!
Please keep up as this journey has far from ended! God is good! All the time!"
